Enameled Vase
This vase is a
mystery to me. It's too nice to be a reproduction, yet I'm unable
to find anything on the maker "Mado Nancy" as it's signed on the foot
as can been seen in the picture above.
In the style of Daum Nancy Art Nouveau cameo
glass, it's internally decorated, and then cased in clear
which is acid finished, with wonderfully detailed enameled flowers and
leafy green stalks going around the parameter of the vase. It's
really a beautiful piece, and a nice large size at 11.5" tall, with a
polished pontil. It came from an old estate collection, and has
some age to it. If you have any data on this artist, I'd love to
hear from you.
