Glass Vase
Very nice rainbow cameo glass, with an Art
Nouveau design, almost reminiscent of Vienna Secessionist designs.
The vase is triple layered, with an inner casing
of an opaque white, followed by a casing of clear and then the
rainbow glass on the exterior. The rainbow glass consists of peach,
two greens, magenta, and cranberry colors.
Weis was one of the few companies to do
rainbow cameo glass (English rainbow cameo is the only other I've
seen, and exceedingly rare). Made in Dresden, Germany between
1900 - 1918. Vase is signed "DRESDEN" on the base as shown above. |
